Anal lube vs water lube.
Anal-marketed lubes are usually water-based or hybrid formulas with higher viscosity, slower drying, and zero numbing ingredients (the good ones). The verdict
For anal play, anal-specific lube is the better choice: thicker consistency, longer working time, no need for constant reapplication. Avoid any lube marketed as "numbing" or "desensitising": numbing the anus removes the pain signal that protects you. Standard water-based lube works in a pinch but requires more frequent reapplication.
