BondageBox was founded in 2019 with a single intention: to assemble the catalogue we wished existed — quietly confident, properly curated, and free of the apologetic packaging that the rest of the industry seems to think we want. Adult retail in the UK has, for decades, defaulted to one of two registers: clinical embarrassment or carnival noise. We thought there was room for a third — considered, plain, and adult in the older sense of the word.
Seven years in, the house has grown into a curated catalogue of roughly 2,700 items across five departments — sex toys, bondage gear, anal, clothes, essentials — plus a small custom-furniture programme made to commission in our UK workshop. We work directly with established UK and European suppliers, alongside a smaller list of premium houses (LELO, We-Vibe, Doxy, Tenga, Fleshlight, Rouge Garments, Aneros). House picks live alongside the best of the wider market. We don't carry anything we wouldn't put in our own home.
How we work
Every order leaves our Hertfordshire warehouse the same working day, in plain brown packaging that gives nothing away — no logos, no descriptions, no transparent windows. Card and PayPal statements both read 'BBox', never BondageBox. Returns are honest: thirty days, sealed items, no questions. Stock is real-time and dropshipper-direct, not aspirational. Customer service is a person, not a chatbot.
A great catalogue is built on trust, taste, and the freedom to ask for what one wants without having to whisper.
What we won't carry
Three categories never make it onto the site, regardless of margin: porous materials (jelly rubber, unspecified TPR / TPE, phthalate-laden plastic) — the body absorbs what touches it for hours, and what we can't trace we won't sell; numbing products that mask pain rather than address its cause; anything sold with implied non-consent in the marketing copy. The line is held quietly but firmly.
The custom-furniture programme
The other half of the house is the workshop. We design and build bondage furniture to commission — St Andrew's crosses, spanking benches, pillory stockades, bondage beds, suspension frames — in solid oak, walnut, ash and welded steel, in our Hertfordshire workshop. Steel-work is finished in Leeds; leather components are hand-stitched in Halifax. Lead times run six to nine weeks. The pieces are built to outlast the relationship that ordered them, and we routinely service them decades on.
Why we keep it quiet
Most BondageBox customers don't tell anyone they shop here. The plain-brown box, the discreet billing descriptor, the unmarked sender label — those are the obvious surface. Beneath them sits a quieter editorial choice: we don't shout. The catalogue speaks for itself. The guides speak for themselves. The customer who finds us, finds us because they were looking for something that didn't feel like the rest of the category.
If you can't find what you're after — particularly in the custom-furniture programme — write to us. We'll find it, source it, or tell you it isn't worth finding. [email protected], replies within one working day.
