Knowing the traits is the start. The checklist is what you do with them; the negotiation script is how you bring it to a partner.
Frequently asked
- How is this different from BDSMtest.org or other quizzes?
- Three things. Faster (24 questions, under 5 minutes). UK-flavoured editorial framing rather than the older clinical typology. Each trait result links to specific practical "try this" suggestions and to the relevant guides on BondageBox.
- Is anything stored on your server?
- No. Your answers are encoded into the URL of your browser only. Sharing your result means copying that URL; if you close the tab without saving, nothing survives.
- What if I score equally high on two opposite traits?
- Then you are probably a Switch, or you have a strong context-dependence (different partners or moods bring out different sides). Many of the most useful results are split rather than singular.
- Are these traits fixed?
- No. People shift over years; new partners reveal new sides; trauma or insight can change preferences. Treat the result as a snapshot, not a label. Retake it in 12 months.
- Should I share this with a partner?
- It is more useful as a conversation starter than as a profile. Take it separately, share the result URLs, talk about where you scored differently. The yes/maybe/no checklist is the deeper follow-up tool.
- Do these labels suggest I should do anything specific?
- No. Identifying as a Sadist does not obligate you to anything; it is a description, not a prescription. The "try this" suggestions are just on-ramps if you want to explore the trait further.
