Practice
Figging.
The historical practice of inserting a carved peeled ginger root anally for the burning sensation produced by ginger oils against mucous membranes. Figging dates from at least 18th-century horse-trading practice (used to make horses appear more lively at sale); UK kink usage is documented from the late 19th century. The sensation builds over 15-30 minutes and stops shortly after removal. Use unwashed organic ginger only; pesticide residue causes longer-lasting irritation.
