What lubricant should I use with Pjur Backdoor Transparent 30ml?

Water-based or hybrid lubricant only on silicone. Silicone-based lubricants chemically react with silicone toy surfaces over time, leaving a sticky residue and degrading the finish. Glycerin-free water-based lube is the universal recommendation, see lubricants.

How do I clean Pjur Backdoor Transparent 30ml?

Warm water and fragrance-free antibacterial soap after every use. For deeper clean / partner-sharing: boil for 3 minutes or run through the dishwasher (top rack, no detergent). Air-dry fully before storage.

Why is anal lubricant different from standard lubricant?

Anal-specific lubes are thicker than standard water-based formulations so they stay in place longer; they are pH-balanced for the rectum (slightly different from the vagina); and they tend to be slightly more cushioning. The rectum does not self-lubricate the way the vagina does, so unsuitable lubricant choice causes microtears and STI-transmission risk.

Can I use this with silicone toys?

Depends on the formulation. Water-based and hybrid anal lubes are universally compatible with every toy material and every condom type. Pure silicone-based anal lubes degrade silicone toys over months; safe with glass, steel, ABS and polyisoprene/polyurethane condoms only. Check the bottle ingredients before pairing with silicone toys.

Is this latex condom-safe?

Water-based and hybrid anal lubes are latex-safe; pure silicone-based anal lubes have mixed evidence on latex compatibility and are not the safest pairing for latex condoms. For partnered anal sex with latex condoms, water-based or hybrid is the safe default.

How much do I need?

More than you think. The standard UK first-buy is a 125ml bottle (around £10-£15); regular users move to 250ml or 500ml. Reapply often during a session. Numbing-agent lubes (containing lidocaine or benzocaine) are not recommended for any anal use; they mask the pain signals the body uses to regulate intensity.
