Humiliation.

A play format where the submissive's gratification comes from the deliberate experience of embarrassment, shame, or social-position lowering. Humiliation overlaps with degradation but is distinct: humiliation can be non-verbal (forced positions, exposure scenarios, public play), where degradation is primarily verbal. The UK kink-aware therapy literature treats humiliation kink as legitimate and notes the gratification follows specifically negotiated triggers.
