A red polyester basque from Rimba, the long-running European lingerie maker. The basque shape sits between a corset (rigid, structured, often boned) and a bustier (softer, more bra-like): structured at the front, lightly boned through the bodice, finished with hook-and-eye fastening down the back. Cut to follow the natural waist and flare gently across the hip.

Polyester construction with elastic stretch; a polyester basque sits closer to lingerie-weight than a true corset's heavier brocade. Hook-and-eye closure runs the full back length, finished with detachable suspender clips for stockings.

Available in small, medium, large and X-large from a 16-20 inch waist range. Hand-wash in cool water with mild soap; lay flat to dry away from sunlight. Iron only on the lining side at low temperature; the outer side risks pulling the polyester thread.

Frequently asked

About this product

Is Basque Red body-safe?

Yes. every product in our catalogue is screened for body-safe materials before stocking. We do not list jelly rubber, PVC or untested TPE blends.

What lubricant should I use with Basque Red?

Lubricant compatibility depends on the product material, check the product description above for the manufacturer guidance, or see our beginner's lubricant guide.

How do I clean Basque Red?

Warm water and fragrance-free antibacterial soap is the universal starting point. Material-specific guidance (sterilisation, conditioning, drying) is in the product description and our guide to cleaning sex toys.

Will the delivery be discreet?

Every UK order ships in plain unmarked packaging from our British warehouse. The return-address label reads only "BBox Ltd", never the brand or category. Card statements show the same "BBox Ltd" descriptor. Free UK delivery on this item.

Can I return Basque Red if I'm not happy with it?

Yes. within 30 days of delivery, provided the hygiene seal has not been broken. UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 exempt goods sealed for health protection from the standard right to return once that seal is broken. Faulty items are covered by a 1-year warranty regardless of seal status. See our returns policy.

Is this steel-boned or plastic-boned?

Check the product description. Steel-boned corsets (full-grain leather or coutil shell, 8-24 steel bones) are the structured-shaping tier; they reshape the wearer over hours of wear and last decades. Plastic-boned corsets use lighter polythene bones; comfortable and lower-cost but less shaping. Spiral steel bones flex in two directions and follow the body better than flat steel bones.

How do I wear a new corset?

Never lace tight on the first wear. Break-in period: 4-6 weeks of progressively tighter lacing across short sessions; the leather or coutil moulds to the wearer. Lace to a 2-3 finger gap behind the front busk on the first session; tighten one finger over each subsequent session.

How do I care for Basque Red?

Spot-clean only; never machine-wash. Air-dry between wears; store hanging or laid flat (never folded). Condition leather every 6-12 months. Replace lacing when it shows fraying; the lacing is the most common failure point before the corset itself.

How long can I wear Basque Red?

After break-in, most users wear corsets comfortably for 2-4 hours per session. Tight-lacing reduces this; very loose wearing extends it. Drink water and breathe deliberately through every wear; corset wearing teaches diaphragmatic breathing as a side-effect.
