A standard riding crop in purple from Rouge Garments, the long-standing UK leather workshop. 25 inches overall, with a leather grip handle and a flat leather "keeper" at the tip (the small flap that strikes the skin). The standard cut sits between the wooden-handled riding crop (heavier, more theatrical) and the hand-shaped crop (broader striking surface) elsewhere in the Rouge line.
Riding crops sit at the sting end of the sting-thud spectrum: focused, narrow, sharp, less forgiving of poor aim than a paddle or flogger but more precise in skilled hands. Strike the fleshy upper-outer buttocks; never on the spine, kidneys, tailbone, or joints.
Standard leather care: wipe down after wear, condition the leather flap with leather balm occasionally, store flat or hung.
