A leather hand-shaped riding crop in purple from Rouge Garments, the long-standing UK leather workshop. 23.5 inches overall, with a flat hand-shaped leather flap at the tip (the striking surface). The hand shape is the line's signature crop variant: more distributed surface area than a standard flat "keeper" crop, so the strike reads less narrowly than a traditional riding crop.
Riding crops sit at the sting end of the sting-thud spectrum: focused and sharp. The hand-shaped tip softens that slightly relative to a flat-tip crop, which makes this a useful intermediate piece between a leather flogger (broader, more thud) and a standard flat riding crop (narrower, more sting). Strike the fleshy upper-outer buttocks; avoid kidneys, tailbone and joints.
Standard leather care: wipe down after wear, condition the leather flap with leather balm occasionally, store flat or hung.
