Where it's built
Made in Britain.
Every commissioned piece passes through three British workshops. Timber is milled and steel is welded in the same Hertfordshire workshop that takes the brief. Finishing, oils, lacquers, powder-coats, is done in Leeds. The leather components are hand-stitched in Halifax, using full-grain English bridle leather pull-tested to working load.
Three workshops, one supply chain, the same team on every commission. We can tell you which timber species is on every piece and which grade of leather is on every cuff loop, because both come from suppliers we've used since the programme began.

Built to a measured height for the partner using it. Solid oak frame, full-grain bridle leather pad with replaceable lacing. The bench most likely to outlast its owners.
Bondage bed frame with concealed anchors
Looks like a serious piece of bedroom furniture. Mortise-and-tenon corners, anchor points concealed at the head, foot and rails. Made up, it's a bed; turned down, the points are there.

Sketch to delivery, in four steps-

Brief
Use the commission request form, it asks for piece type, materials, finish, style, dimensions, budget, and lets you securely attach reference images or a PDF brief. We reply within one working day.

Sketch & quote
Within a week of brief, you receive a hand sketch, a materials list, and a fixed price. Three rounds of revision included; structural changes after that are charged separately.

Build
Six to nine weeks in our UK workshop. Mild steel, powder-coated as standard; stainless and oak available. We send progress photographs at the halfway point.

Every piece is built either as a welded steel skeleton or in solid hardwood, wood and steel are equal-weight options, not "standard plus upgrade". Steel is mild (powder-coat) or medical-grade 316L stainless. Wood is English oak, walnut, beech, ash, cherry, mahogany, sapele or black-stained pine. All hardware is solid; nothing on the structure is plated, bolted, or veneered.
Wood finishes: oil (Danish, tung, linseed), wax, lacquer matte through high-gloss, stain in any mixed colour, ebonising, fuming, lime-wash. Steel finishes: powder-coat in any RAL colour, raw mild matte, polished mirror, brushed satin, brass-plated. Custom finishes add 1–2 weeks of lead time.
Style: bring a reference image and we'll build to it. Past commissions cover Victorian, Mid-Century, Brutalist, Edwardian, Scandinavian, contemporary minimal and Gothic / scene-quality builds. Where leather appears (cuff loops, headrests, bench tops) it is full-grain English bridle, hand-stitched in Halifax.

- Yes. wood is a primary material option, not an upgrade. We work in English oak, walnut, beech, ash, cherry, mahogany, sapele and black-stained pine. Hardware (hinges, anchor points, cuff loops) is solid steel either powder-coated or polished to match the wood finish. Wood-on-wood joinery is mortise-and-tenon (not bolted) for the same load-rated permanence as our welded-steel pieces.

- Standard lead time is 6–9 weeks from agreed sketch, wood and steel pieces share the same window because we run two parallel build streams. Custom finishes (specialty stains, two-tone colours, hand-carving) add 1–2 weeks. International shipping adds 2–3 weeks for boxing and freight. We send progress photographs at the halfway point.
- What weight does a BondageBox bondage frame hold?
- All standard pieces are rated for a 200 kg+ working load, well above realistic occupancy for two adults plus equipment. Wood pieces use mortise-and-tenon joinery (no bolts); steel is continuously welded (no bolt-together). Both are load-tested before shipping. We can build to a higher rating on request; structural changes after the third revision round are quoted separately.
- Do you ship custom bondage furniture discreetly?
- Yes. every piece arrives in plain unmarked outer crating with a "BBox" return-address label. The two-person delivery team identify themselves only as a logistics company. Delivery is by appointment; we will not leave a piece without an adult signature.
